Bahman's letter to Sue,

Dear Sue,
Yes, Esfahan is a beautiful city in Iran. Remembered Esfahan, Shiraz, Turk (they are a ethnic group in Iran), and Kord (they are another ethnic group in Iran) are some of Iran’s Keys. Each of them have special mood.
Tehran’s climate is rainy in these days. Semnan’s climate is rainy too. My library is near a beautiful park, leaves dance in the park. We have snow in the higher mountains too. I think in Tehran we have not snow until winter. I think we will have a cold winter.
We have a project about Friction Stir Welding. We are translating a book about our project. It is so hard because we haven’t any Persian article about our project. All of the articles are in English and it is a big problem for us.
Take care,
Bahman

Dear Bahman, I love it when you said 'leaves dance in the park.' One of the many things I love about Iranians is the ability to speak poetically. You are all masters of the art of poetry. I read the other day that there is no country that loves the poetic like Iran. You should be proud of this.

Almost all the leaves are down here. Our two little dogs are black and white Boston Terriers. They love to run through the leaves, scattering them in all directions. ARe there many dogs as pets in Iran?

Your English in this letter is just about perfect. Perhaps T can help you translate your Friction Stir Welding book. I can understand what a problem that must be, but I also see how English will give you a step up in your profession. You will be needed and able to be a very necessary member of the team.

More later, Sue
