Hello

my name is Ehsan Negahdar. I'm 14 years old. I'm from yazd that is one of the oldest cities in Iran. I'll post some pictures of yazd for you.

I have studied English for 2 years. I am one of T's relatives. I forgot to say that I am very glad to be here. Thank you.

Dear Ehsan, Little by little I learn about Iran from all of you who are working so hard to learn my language. I read that Yzad has a desert climate, and that some of the finest silk garments are made there. Is this correct? I am a big fan of Persian rugs and of some of the silks I see coming from Iran. Also, I wish I could buy saffron in Iran. It is soooooo expensive in my country. A tiny tablespoon full was priced at 15 dollars. That is 15 times 1,741 Iranian Rials! I don't understand why it is so expensive.

Which of you girls are good cooks? Now that my book is finished I want to experiment making some Iranian dishes. I found a simple dish with spinich and yogurt. I think I'll start with that. Then I want to do chicken Kabobs. Any suggestions on a marinade?

More later, your friend, Sue

Hi Sue,
Thanks so much for your beautiful answer to Ehsan. This is the first letter he is receiving from an English speaking friend in his life. Irically it will be the best souvenir I could possibly give him when he leaves Tehran: the voice of a great friend talking to him from America.
And Sue, as you see Ehsan is a masculine name. Ehsan is a boy. Sorry to disappoint you, but he won't be of much help regarding your chicken kabob. I'll see if Maryam can help. I have never seen anyone cook better than her in my whole life.
